Accessibility statement

Home Pros Ohio wants everyone, including people who use assistive technology, to be able to find and contact local home service pros. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

What we do

• Semantic page structure with a single main region, headings in order and labeled navigation landmarks.
• Every form field has a label, and error messages are announced to screen readers.
• Calculators and assessments update a live region so results are read aloud as you change inputs.
• All functions work with a keyboard. Press / or Ctrl+K to search, and Esc to close dialogs.
• Images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
• Text and controls are designed for sufficient color contrast in both light and dark mode.
• Animations respect your device's "reduce motion" setting.
• Pages reflow on small screens and support browser zoom up to 400%.

Known limitations

• Embedded Google Maps and some third-party content may not be fully accessible. Each listing also shows its address as text.
• Business logos and photos come from the businesses' own websites and may not have descriptive alternatives beyond the business name.
• Downloadable PDF checklists are also available as web pages on this site.
