This Privacy Policy explains how Jonathan Blake LLC, doing business as The Lead Venture and operating Home Pros Ohio at homeprosohio.com (“Home Pros Ohio,” “we,” “us” or “our”), collects, uses, shares and protects information about you when you use our website, calculators, assessments, forms and related services (the “Services”).

By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.

1. Who this policy covers

• Homeowners and visitors who browse the directory, use our calculators or assessments, download resources or request quotes.
• Business owners who submit, claim, upgrade or advertise a listing.
• Businesses listed in the directory, whose business information we publish.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact details: name, email address, phone number and ZIP code.
• Project details: calculator and assessment inputs and results (for example, home size, roof age or project type) and any message you send us.
• Quote requests: if you check “connect me with local pros,” the details needed to pass your request to businesses.
• Business information: business name, category, services, address, service area, website, license details, photos and descriptions you submit or update.
• Payment information: paid plans are processed by Stripe. We receive limited details such as your name, email, plan and payment status. We never receive or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically

• Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring pages, links clicked and the date and time of your visit.
• Cookies and similar technologies: small files and identifiers used to keep the site working, remember preferences (such as dark mode), measure traffic and prevent spam. See Section 7.

Information from other sources

• Public business data: we compile business listings from publicly available sources and commercial data providers, including business names, phone numbers, websites, social media profiles, ratings and review counts.
• Service providers: for example, payment status from Stripe and spam-check results from Cloudflare Turnstile.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

1. Operate, maintain and improve the directory and its tools.
2. Email you the estimates, checklists or results you request.
3. Connect you with local businesses when you ask us to.
4. Process listing submissions, claims, verifications and payments.
5. Respond to questions and provide customer support.
6. Send service messages, such as confirmations and account or billing notices.
7. Send marketing emails, where permitted. You can unsubscribe at any time.
8. Measure traffic and understand how the Services are used.
9. Detect, prevent and investigate spam, fraud, abuse and security incidents.
10. Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described below.

• With businesses, at your request. If you ask to be connected with pros, we share your name, contact details, ZIP code and project details with up to three businesses that serve your area, which may include paid or preferred partners. Those businesses use your information under their own privacy policies, and they may contact you by phone, text or email about your request.
• With service providers who help us run the Services under contracts that limit their use of your data, including website hosting, security and spam protection (Cloudflare), payment processing (Stripe), customer relationship management and email or SMS tools, and product analytics (PostHog).
• Image providers. Some images load from Unsplash’s servers, which receive standard request data such as your IP address.
• For legal reasons, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena or court order, or is needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Home Pros Ohio, our users or others.
• In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
• With your consent or at your direction.

Business listing information, such as a business’s name, phone number and city, is published publicly in the directory.

5. Phone, text and email communications

If you provide your phone number and agree to be contacted, you consent to receive calls and text messages from us, and from the businesses you ask us to connect you with, about your request. This may include messages sent with automated technology. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts, or HELP for help. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any email.

6. Your choices and rights

• Access, correction and deletion: you may ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you.
• Marketing opt-out: unsubscribe from emails or reply STOP to texts at any time.
• Business listings: owners can request corrections or removal of their listing by contacting us. We may need to verify ownership.
• State privacy rights: depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as the right to know, delete, correct or port your data, or to opt out of targeted advertising. We will honor these requests as required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

To make a request, email mail@homeprosohio.com. We will verify your request before responding, and we will respond within the time required by law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.

7. Cookies, analytics and “Do Not Track”

We use essential cookies to run the site, preference storage for settings such as color mode, and analytics to understand usage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them. Where required by law, we treat a browser’s Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of targeted advertising and similar sharing. Because there is no common standard for “Do Not Track” signals, we do not respond to them.

8. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, including to provide the Services, keep business and tax records, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law, including Ohio’s data breach notification law.

10. Children’s privacy

The Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where state law sets a higher age). If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Third-party sites

Our site links to other websites, including business websites, Midwest Roof Calculators, Unsplash and social media. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies.

12. United States only

The Services are operated in the United States and intended for users in the United States. If you access them from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date, and if changes are material we will provide additional notice where required. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
