Every time we change the site, we write it down here: new tools, fixes, listing cleanups and any change to how we score or label businesses.

   Cleaner score box, phone links and footer

   • The score box on each listing now shows the score and its bars without arithmetic. When years in business hasn't been confirmed, experience shows as "Unverified (pending claim)" and isn't counted.
   • Every phone link now uses the standard +1 format, and calls from listing cards are counted in owners' dashboards.
   • Owners who tap "Claim this listing" now see a free audit of their listing's score on the claim page.
   • The footer lists one contact email: mail@homeprosohio.com.

   Deeper research report and more for contractors

   • The Northwest Ohio Home Services Report now shows how ratings, review counts, scores and years in business are spread; whether ratings hold up as reviews pile up; online presence and self-described ownership; how concentrated reviews are in each trade; and which trades have fewer than three businesses in our biggest towns. The CSV download includes it all.
   • Contractor Hub: a new reminder that your work comes first (great work earns referrals even with weak marketing), plus a recommended reading list led by Jeremy Miner's The New Model of Selling.
   • Expanded guides on the 5 core parts of a service business, fulfillment and closing at the kitchen table.
   • Roof cost calculator: removed 3-tab shingles, which most manufacturers have phased out and we don't recommend, and added designer shingles.

   Checklists you can check off

   • Every checklist on the site is now clickable: tap an item to check it off, with a progress bar and a Clear button. Your checks are saved on your device.
   • Checklist pages now show the whole checklist instead of a preview, plus answers to common questions.

   A clearer, more honest score and directory

   • Home Pros Score 2.0: when we don't know a business's years in business, we no longer estimate experience points. Those scores use 2 of 3 factors, and profiles mark experience as "unknown."
   • Scores built on incomplete data now say so, and a new page publishes the full formula, what the score doesn't measure and its version history.
   • "Verified" is now "Owner confirmed", and the paid plan is "Owner Managed", so the badge doesn't sound like a license or quality check. Fixing wrong facts is free on every plan.
   • Our personal pick now carries its disclosure on the listing card itself, and the default sort is labeled "Our picks & sponsored first." New sort: Owner confirmed first.
   • Pages with only one or two pros in a town now say coverage is limited, instead of promising three quotes.
   • The homepage now says "public reviews represented" instead of "reviews analyzed", and describes our coverage as Northwest Ohio and nearby Southeast Michigan.
   • Cost calculators now link to the exact cost guides behind their prices, and roof prices spell out that tear-off is added on top.
   • New guide: what a Toledo roofing quote should include. The old Toledo roof cost post now points to our Toledo roof cost page.
   • Rapid Shield Gutters moved from roofing to gutters.
   • New: this updates page.

   Mobile fixes, new calculators and 196 shareable tips

   • Fixed overlapping elements on phones and the blank Google map.
   • Pages now open at the top when you reload.
   • Contractor Hub: a sticky filter bar, plus new cost-to-acquire-a-customer and lifetime gross profit calculators.
   • Shareable tips: 91 new tips (including 22 for contractors) with search and topic filters.
   • New owner login page for business owners.

   • 33 businesses filed under the wrong trade moved to the right one, with old links redirected.
   • Hid one closed business and 8 listings whose trade we couldn't confirm.
